Who are the poor?

Poverty may affect individuals or groups, and is not confined to the developing nations. Poverty in developed countries is manifest in a set of social problems including homelesness and the persistence of "ghetto" housing clusters. It is unequally distributed. Racial-ethnic minorities, childresn, women-headed households, and people who live in ruralareas are more likely to be poor.

I think this is all true... we are poor because we are poor, most of the people are lazy, I pass by the streets every day and many of adults doing nothing, they are gossiping and drinking, many people don't save money at all..
*And actually this web page is actually good, i like it.. congratulations to all... love ya!! :P

people spend most of their time wasting it... they enjoy socializing and as Alejandra said they love to hear all of the gossip in the town.. but they don't acknowledge that all the time they spend doing all of that nonsense they could have been spending it in something that could have bring them more benefits.. they are good on telling society are the one to blame.. that it is the governments fault, but aren't they the ones that have to earn their own money by hard work?

It is amazing how we can consider ourselves poor and whine of our limited privileges when there are kids like that struggling to survive. If I were to divide social inequality I would do it in two ways: the ones who don`t need anyone else to worry about them and the ones who need our serious attention. After all, we make this classificattion to get something out of it.
